What age groups do GymLab classes cater for?

GymLab offers gymnastics classes for children aged 3 to 12 years. Our sessions are split into three developmental age groups:
GymPlay (Ages 3–4), a play-based introduction to movement
Mastering Skills (Ages 5–7), focused on confidence, coordination, and core skills
Intermediate Gymnastics (Ages 8–12), supporting more advanced movement and skill refinement
Each class is carefully structured to match children’s physical, emotional, and social development at every stage.

Where are GymLab classes held in East London?
GymLab runs children’s gymnastics classes at three trusted venues across East London:
Stoke Newington School, N16, a spacious indoor hall with on-site parking
Chobham Academy, Stratford, E20, a modern venue offering weekly classes and holiday camps
New Unity, Islington, N1, a calm, centrally located venue with excellent public transport access
How much do GymLab classes cost in East London?

GymLab classes cost £55 per month, which includes weekly sessions and access to qualified, DBS-checked coaches. There are no additional charges for equipment or registration.
We offerpaid trial classes so families can experience GymLab before committing. Trial sessions must be booked in advance.

Yes, school holiday gymnastics camps are available at our Stratford location only. These camps run during selected school holidays and are open to both members and non-members.
Our Stoke Newington and Islington locations run weekly classes all year round, including half terms, but do not offer holiday camps.

How do I enrol my child in GymLab classes?

You can enrol by booking a trial class online. If your child enjoys the session, we will guide you through joining a weekly class.
GymLab uses a monthly membership model to keep things simple for families. All bookings are managed through the ClassForKids system.
Is parking available at GymLab locations?

Parking availability varies by venue:
Stoke Newington, free on-site parking is usually available
Stratford, paid parking is available opposite Chobham Academy, but availability cannot be guaranteed
Islington, parking is limited, and public transport is recommended

What safety measures are in place during classes?
Yes. If your family’s routine changes, we will do our best to help you move between Stoke Newington, Stratford, and Islington, subject to availability.

Can I switch locations if my child’s schedule changes?
Yes. GymLab coaches are highly trained and experienced. All coaches are DBS checked, safeguarding trained, and many hold British Gymnastics Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications, alongside SEND awareness and Paediatric First Aid training.

Do GymLab coaches have the right qualifications?
Classes typically last 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the age group. Sessions include warm-up activities, structured skill development, and cool-down time.

How long is each GymLab gymnastics class?
GymLab operates on a monthly subscription basis. We require one calendar month’s notice for cancellations.
Missed classes are not refundable, but where possible, we may offer catch-up options depending on availability. Trial classes can usually be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice

What is your cancellation or refund policy?
GymLab classes are popular and often have waiting lists, particularly in Stratford. We recommend registering early. If a class is full, you can join the waiting list and we will contact you as soon as a space becomes available.
How early should I book a class, and is there a waiting list?
